09 Apr Master Huỳnh Anh Hải: Healing, Qigong & Martial Arts
From the perspective of someone who is always striving for the betterment of the community and draws inspiration from the humanistic philosophy of the Vietnamese people, I deeply appreciate the value of what Master Huỳnh Anh Hải has contributed – not only in martial arts but also in his journey of seeking balance between body and mind through Buddhism, meditation, and qigong.
The Journey of Practice and Accumulating Knowledge
With over 20 years of passionate practice in Qigong and Meditation, along with more than 10 years of direct training from Tibetan Lamas in Tantra and Qigong, Master Huỳnh Anh Hải has absorbed and shared many precious treasures of Eastern culture. Techniques such as internal fire qigong – which helps warm the body to withstand harsh weather conditions – and sound meditation – which is applied to relieve stress, internal struggles, depression, insomnia, and related issues – have proven to be effective for practitioners.
Building a Distinctive Qigong System
Based on his journey of accumulating knowledge and experience, Master Huỳnh Anh Hải developed his own unique qigong system within the Giao Long Võ Đạo martial tradition. His training method includes not only lessons in health-preserving qigong, internal strength, external power, yin-yang energy, energy regulation, alchemy, and fire training but also the practice of “cultivating essence and nourishing qi” – a technique traditionally passed down by Bodhidharma to the Shaolin monks. Additionally, meditation with sound therapy has become an essential part of the system, widely embraced by students due to its ability to support healing and improve the quality of life.
Recognition and Positive Impact
Recognized by the martial arts community with the title of Grand Master in his forties, Master Huỳnh Anh Hải has left a lasting mark not only with his martial expertise but also through his efforts to “save” students from health crises. Many examples of students who were once struggling with serious health issues, such as weak liver and kidneys, high blood pressure, memory decline, digestive disorders, and even sexual health problems, have completely transformed after learning Buddhist teachings and receiving guidance in practice from Master Huỳnh Anh Hải. These individuals have become strong, active people, later passing on the wisdom of health and mental well-being to the wider community.

Qigong – The Foundation of Health and Skill
According to Master Huỳnh Anh Hải, qigong is not merely a physical exercise; it is an art of regulating breath and energy, which helps improve the body’s internal environment, open the channels of energy, and enhance physical strength. In addition to enabling practitioners to withstand blows better in martial arts or sports, qigong also helps restore functions of the skin, muscles, and bones, alleviating aches and pains caused by modern sedentary lifestyles. Properly practiced qigong exercises have been proven to significantly improve overall health…
