I was born in a village that is considered to be the centre of Buddhism in Vietnam, a place called Perfume Pagoda. Throughout my childhood I was aware of millions of people coming to the country every year and of course I was too young to understand what it was that they were coming here to find. It was something that I never forgot , something that always intrigued me.

My village is like many other villages around the area, its daily life is associated with all of the social norms, the heritage and traditions that have gorverned village life for thousands of years.

I attended Hanoi University of Culture, where I studied subjects such as language, culture, religion and history, something that to this day I remain fascinated by.

For the next fifteen years I worked as a tour leader for some well established travel companies such as Intrepidtravel, Worldexpedition and Imaginative Traveler, mixing and getting to better understand people from all over the world and in doing so those questions from my childhood raised their head again. What is it that fascinates people about Vietnam, what is it that they are looking to understand about my country, what experience are they looking for? Are they looking for just a tourist visit and a nice collection of photographs or do they want to really connect with the heart of the country?

For over 10 years, I have practiced Qigong meditation daily. This practice is not just a part of my life and culture but has provided deep insights into my body, mind, and health. Through this journey, I’ve found a true connection with myself and Vietnamese culture. I aim to share this blend of health and culture, allowing you to experience Vietnamese life through food, traditional medicine, behavior, and social lifestyle.
